The tree planting event on
5th December was a great
success,
Friends Of The Park
Shenley Brook End got
together with Milton Keynes
Council last Saturday to
plant 22 trees as part of
the BBC’s Breathing Spaces
attempt to break the
existing world record for trees planted by hand by
any number of people within
a single hour. Local
residents planted varieties
of Alder, Birch and Hornbeam
together with several
hundred bulbs. Funding of
the trees came from the
Council and Shenley Brook
End Parish Council. The
Friends Of The Park intend
this to be the start of a
number of activities aimed
at improving the park and
eventually achieving
Blue Flag Status.
A new Friends Of The Park
web page will be created
shortly, please check back
for updates.
